It is a real test not only for President Trump, but also for America - Who are we really and what do we really stand for: real money vs. any moral value at all?
1. The incident
Below is an excerpt from the article cited above.
A prominent Saudi journalist who contributed to The Washington Post was killed in "a pre-planned murder" at the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul, Turkish investigators told the Post.
A critic of the kingdom and its Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Jamal Khashoggi has been missing since he went to the consulate Tuesday to complete paperwork to be married to his Turkish fiancée, according to the Post.
2. What is at stake for America?
The image below is worth more than 1,000 words!
More profoundly and once again, this is a historic moment to test President Trump and America: real money vs. any moral value at all?
3. Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia, officially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a country in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. With a land area of approximately 2,150,000 km2 (830,000 sq mi), Saudi Arabia is the largest sovereign state in the Middle East, geographically the fifth-largest in Asia, second-largest in the Arab world after Algeria and 12th-largest in the world. Saudi Arabia is bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast and Yemen to the south. It is separated from Israel and Egyptby the Gulf of Aqaba. It is the only nation with both a Red Sea coast and a Persian Gulf coast, and most of its terrain consists of arid desert, lowland and mountains. Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Middle East as of October 2018 and the 18th largest in the world.[6]
In short, Saudi Arabia is a monarchy, rich in oil money!
4. Saudi Arabia and America
Over the past few decades, America has been very friendly with Saudi Arabia, putting oil (or Petro - dollar) over ideology (e.g. democracy) or human rights.
Worse yet, two highlights:
The hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda. 15 of the 19 were citizens of Saudi Arabia (Wikipedia - Hijackers_in_the_9/11 attacks).
Osama bin Laden was a Saudi!

5. Closing
What will President Trump do in this case?
Americans are watching, so are the rest of the world!
