Strategy means nothing — when you have a POTUS and National Security Council that is disrespected around the world. Our adversaries do not fear us; and, our allies no longer trust us. And, with the Islamic State committing crimes against humanity — this POTUS goes to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy about two weeks ago and said that ‘climate change,’ was their prospective graduate’s “biggest threat and challenge.” No Mr. POTUS, is a nuclear Iran; and a metastasizing, militant, extremist Islamists, and an aggressive Russia and China. When this POTUS singles out climate change; and, his NSC Advisor recommends ‘strategic patience,’ that is a signal to our adversaries that the U.S. is sitting out this strategic ‘moment.’ We may not be at war with the Islamic State; but, they are at war with us. The adversary gets a vote. We need to ditch, no pun intended, climate change; and focus on the real national security threats — an expansive and aggressive strategic reach by Russia, and China, a nuclear Iran, militant Islam.
